STANFORD FELLOWSHIP FOR DEMOCRACY, DEVELOPMENT OPEN
| Students of the mass communication department at National University of Science and Technology (NUST) attended a week long (13th -17th June) television training workshop organized by Women Media Center in collaboration with Shaheed Zufiqar Ali Bhutto Institute of Sciences and Technology (SZABIST). The theme of the workshop was “Combating Corruption and Misuse of Public Funds”. Nazir Leghari, Zafarullah Khan, Qazi Asif, Farooq Ahmed, Matiullah Jan, Talat Hussain were among the eminent guest speakers who enlightened the students about the concerned topic through various angles. Along with the theoretical knowledge of script writing and camera handling for a news package, students were given the golden opportunity of doing practical field work. | |
| The workshop was well organized and well equipped in terms of the required machinery. The workshop comprised of the different sessions regarding professional camera handling, writing a news, and script forming news package. The director WMC, Ms. Fauzia Shaheen had organized and presented a well rounded workshop. It provided the platform for students to perform practical work and to compose some news packages as their final assignment. | |
| All participants were awarded certificates by Mr. Mian Abdus Sattar(MNA & Parliamentary Secretary,Planning Division) in the closing ceremony. | |
