With more than 32 years of experience at Nawa-i-Waqt, Farzana Chaudhry, shares her inspiring journey as a woman journalist and media leader.

Reflecting on her career, she discusses the challenges women face in Pakistan’s media industry, including limited representation in leadership and decision-making positions. She shares how she overcame resistance and negative attitudes throughout her professional journey and turned obstacles into opportunities for growth.

Farzana Chaudhry also recalls her journey at the Lahore Press Club, where she contested elections as an independent candidate, secured a leading position, and worked to make the Press Club a more welcoming space for journalists and their families. She also highlights her contributions to journalist welfare, including medical camps and support initiatives for journalists and their families.
