(Peshawar Staff Reporter) “Its great to see women from Karachi are here in Peshawar to train female students of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa” said Deputy Speaker, Provincial Assembly, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mehmood Jan at the inauguration of five day electronic media training held by Women Media Center at a local hotel in Peshawar. He also said media should be neutral and not sensitise news in a manner as to create an negative impact to its viewers.
Furthermore he said its an opportunity for #PTI to deliver what masses want as they have elected their own government with a lot of hopes and expectations.
He encouraged WMC for training five days workshop which will definitely help women journalists and media students in their future endeavours. “WMC is helping women to gain practical training in the field of journalism also to fight against the biasness and break stereotypes, It is a pleasant surprise to see women stepping out in regions like Peshawar in search of freedom of speech, thoughts and living. There is yet a lot of work that needs to be done in order to empower women at all levels with the best technology and more”, said Senior Program Assistant, Women Media Center, Iraj Atiq Khan. She further said that this time people have elected their own government and seeks deliverance which is expected. The workshop was encouraged by the Chief Guest and he said more work and exposure like this will help attain democracy with higher levels of women participation.
