A four-day workshop for Pakistan’s women television journalists and funded by the UNESCO’s International Programe for the Development of Communication (IPDC) has kicked-off in Lahore today on 23rd April will last until 26 April 2013. A number of female journalists working for different TV channels are taking part in the workshop, with the main objective to strengthen their professional capacity in news gathering and news productions.
Mr. Muhammad Arsalan, Senior Producer Capital TV and Former Producer Geo News, Mr. Qazi Asif Former Bureau Cheif Waqt TV were the trainers today.
The Lahore workshop is the second of the total six similar workshops that are organized between now and September 2013 in six different major cities of Pakistan, namely Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Hyderabad and Islamabad.
